Meeting Teryl Rothery

This first photo is of Teryl Rothery. I was with a friend at a Creation Stargate Convention and just in line to take photos for her as she was getting autographs. For some reason Teryl looked at me(and apparently my big fat belly) and says out loud “I need to write on your stomach!” I probably should of been offended, but I was more confused and shocked so I gave a very hesitant “Ok….”

Now this is where I need to give some backstory on my brand new shirt before I go on! This was a new shirt I had just bought recently and was really excited to wear it for the first time in public. Up to that point my favorite comic hero Robin(my Korean name) wasn’t so popular and cosidered a joke to most serious comic fans. He was starting to be used better and more versions of him came out, so a few shirts were being made, but still had to get at things like comic conventions. I know I paid more for this shirt than I should of considering it’s really just a red shirt with a Robin logo, but I did and now wearing it first time in public.

Back to the story, Teryl gets up and comes around to the other side of the table and proceeds to sign her name really big on my brand new shirt. As it’s now signed and it was sort of an embarrassing story, this shirt has never been worn since and I have yet to buy another Robin shirt.
